For this reason, we maintain a dedicated, in-house R&D team to build proprietary tools and custom applications to enhance the localization process for both customers and internal use. We also have an in-house engineering team to evaluate third-party localization tools, monitor trends and technical progress in our industry, and identify areas of supplemental tool development so that we can provide our clients with the best possible solutions to fit their needs. Both groups participate in the beta testing of applications from major software publishers with a focus on the localization processes.

Functional testing and other quality assurance procedures are integral components of software localization engineering and new product development. To support our testing needs, Lingo Systems maintains a state-of-the-art testing laboratory that allows us to perform quality assurance testing and online linguistic reviews of localized software applications on native operating systems to ensure that the applications will function as intended for the target end users. Our testing capabilities include all of the major operating systems on the market.
