Quality Assurance

Delivering localized products with the appropriate quality is of paramount importance to our clients and to us. Our QA specialists are vigilant in the review and validation of all deliverables, whether printed or online. They are trained to find each defect—even those in our clients' source materials!

Lingo Systems performs comprehensive Quality Assurance procedures at every step in the localization process. Rather than testing only a portion of the work product, however, most of these steps utilize a 100% sample. As such, every page, every word, every screen, and every function is tested or reviewed as appropriate.

Our standard linguistic process includes three full steps (translate, copy edit, and proofread), with each step performed by a different linguist. For documentation projects, our in-house QA Specialists then perform a complete Format QA in which every page of the localized output is compared to the original English Master.

Similarly, for software and GUI projects, an online linguistic review is performed on every screen of the localized application by a qualified linguist. This review is followed by comprehensive functional testing of the entire test script on native operating systems to ensure that the localization process did not affect the functionality of the software and that the content displays correctly on the screen.
