Lingo Systems Names Shane Grevin Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing

Portland, OR (July 23, 2008) – Lingo Systems, the translation and localization division of Language Line Services, today announced that Shane Grevin has joined the company as Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing. Shane brings 16 years of sales and sales management experience to his new role leading Lingo’s worldwide sales and marketing efforts. Most recently, Shane was the Director of Sales, IT Americas at Lionbridge Technologies Inc.

LANGUAGE LINE SERVICES ACQUIRES TELEINTERPRETERS AND LINGO SYSTEMS

MONTEREY, CA – (January 11, 2008) – Language Line Services today acquired Coto Global Solutions and its subsidiaries TeleInterpreters and Lingo Systems, forming the premier provider of language services to the nation’s growing population of Limited-English speakers and the organizations who serve them. The announcement was made by Dennis Dracup, Language Line Services’ chairman and chief executive officer: “This acquisition strengthens Language Line Services’ phone and video-based services, adds document translation and face-to-face interpretation, and solidifies our position as the leading language company in the world.”

Lingo Systems', "Guide to Translation and Localization," Wins Two Awards from the Society for Technical Communication.

Lingo Systems’ Guide to Translation Wins Two STC Awards

Portland, OR (March 13, 2006) - Lingo Systems announces that their fifth edition of “The Guide to Translation and Localization - Preparing for the Global Marketplace,” was recently awarded two prestigious awards from the Society for Technical Communication. The awards were presented to Scott Ludwigsen, Roger Thompson, Willy van Grunsven, and Jeff Williams at a banquet held Thursday March 16, 2006 in Portland, OR held by the Willamette Valley Chapter of the STC.

The fifth edition of the Guide was co-published in November 2005 with Multilingual Magazine, and won the Excellence Award for Technical Publications. The guidebook was also given a Merit Award in the Technical Art category for the cover design. Three previous editions of the Guide have also won awards from the STC.
